Letter from the Director
Happy December to all!!
I know in the past this branch was accepting cash for meals, however, please know, per Beckford’s policy, we cannot do this. Due to this if you are paying for meals please write a check to Bickford Senior Living of Rockford as cash will not be accepted.
To ensure monthly payment is being received at the corporate office by the due date of the 10th of the month please use the pre- addressed enveloped provided with your monthly statement and send it directly to the corporate office.
From all the BFMs at Bickford Senior Living of Rockford we would like to say thank you for being a part of our family here at Bickford Senior Living. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Resident Spotlight: Bob Wartman
Bob Wartman was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on October 31, 1961. He has three brothers and one sister. His oldest brother Mike still lives in Ashland practicing law. The second oldest is Tim who works in Chicago for Allegiant Credit Union. Bob, who is the middle child, had many jobs. Back in high school he started working at Kentucky Fried Chicken. After getting a 2 year associates degree from UW Superior in business, he moved to Minneapolis and later the Chicago area. He worked as a manager for KFC, SNAP on Tools, and as a security guard. Eventually Bob settled in Madison, Wisconsin at the Wisconsin State Lottery. He was married for 15 years and has a son named Brett. The lottery was the most interesting job for Bob
as he enjoyed traveling throughout the Wisconsin area. Later he took a job with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue where he helped people get out of debt and solved many of their financial problems. His younger brother John lives in Milwaukee, WI. Bob also lived in Milwaukee for about 2 years. His youngest sibling is Connie. She lives in Rockford and is a teacher at the new Cherry Valley School. Growing up in a big family Bob loved all sports such as skiing, boating, golfing, football, wrestling, baseball, swimming, and bowling. Bob was known for being one of the strongest on the track team as he could throw the shot put disc farther than anyone in the Ashland area. He also was one of the better golfers around. Bob is someone who brings a smile to all our faces here at Bickford Senior Living.
