Director's Letter

Hello to all!

 

As some of you are aware there have been some recent changes here at Bickford Senior Living of Rockford.  I wanted to take this time to update you on a few things.  As of May 16th I have accepted the Director position.  I am excited to lead our branch into the future!  Together alongside Becca Giardin (RNC), Paul Fasano (LEC), David Lockett (Kitchen Manager), and Greg Donnell (Head of Maintenance) we will continue to keep your loved on our #1 priority. 

 

With my role changing from Assistant Director to Director I have been

asked if we are hiring another Assistant Director.  The answer to that question is that we have decided to go in a different direction.  We have decided to instead hire a Community Relations Coordinator (CRD).  The primary responsibilities of the CRD will be marketing.   At this time we are interviewing qualified candidates for this position, and have high hopes to have this position filled shortly.

Windows to Happiness

I'm very excited to introduce something new and fun to our community.  We are all about enriching happiness here at Bickford - especially with activity participation.  However, these moments of happiness aren't frequently captured in time - that is until now!  We've created a display called "Windows To Happiness" that will give everyone a glance into the happiness moments we experience from day to day.  Here's how this works.  Throughout the day I will be snapping photos of residents and BFMs, and then

sending them off to be printed.  Every few days during our morning meeting I ask someone to choose a few photos from the pile to swap out on the window.  It's a great way to capture those moments where we forget our troubles, overlook life's difficulties, and simply have fun!  That's what happiness is all about, and that's what we want to display looking into the Windows To Happiness.   Have an amazing July to each and everyone in our family!
