A Note from the Director

Copy/Image 1a

It's hard to believe that we are already into the second month of 2018! Time is flying by, and we have so many wonderful things happening in the Rockford branch.

While it is still cold outside, we have things like the Superbowl,Winter Olympics,Spaghetti Fundraiser dinner for the Veteran Drop-In Center, and  celebrating with our Valentine's.

Copy/Image 1b

This is the time of year, we can become a little stir crazy, from being indoors, and our residents are no exception to this!

We encourage our healthy visitors to be mindful of this. An extra visit or phone call can go a long way in boosting your loved one's spirits. While the days can seem long, the promise of sun and spring are coming around the corner.

As always, our thanks to you for entrusting a part of your lives with us.

God Bless,

Bob

Cold and flu season is in full swing, and this year attacking our area with full force! Yuck! A few signs to look for include:

Cold

  • stuffy nose
  • sneezing
  • sore throat
  • mild/mod cough

Flu

  • high fever
  • headache
  • body aches
  • exhaustion
  • mild/mod cough

Antibiotics are ineffective against these viruses. Anti-viral drugs can lessen flu symptoms if given within 48 hrs of onset.

Copy/Image 3d

Our population is extremely vulnerable to these viruses. We ask that you help us in protecting our residents by not visiting the building if you have any signs of fever, sore throat, or cough.

We encourage our healthy visitiors to:

  • wash your hands before and after your visit
  • cover your cough
  • use a tissue or sleeve if needing to cough/sneeze

Thanks for helping us keep your loved ones healthy this winter season!

Your RNC, Becca
