We'd also like to announce Annie Albert's bridal shower. The bridal shower will be November 13th here at Bickford of WDM at 2:00pm. Her and fiance Dusty Masdini are registered at Target & Bed Bath & Beyond. Annie's wedding with be Dec.1st at the Iowa Fair Grounds. Annie has been here at Bickford for over 10 years.

Bickford of WDM will be hosting our Thanksgiving lunch on Thanksgiving day November 22nd at 12:00 noon.

At Grandma's House

I like the taste of turkey
Any time throughout the year
But it never seems to
taste as good
As when Thanksgiving's here. 
Could be it's all the trimmings
That are cooked with it to eat-
But I think it's
eating at Grandma's house
That makes it such a treat!

         Resident Spotlight - Richard (Dick) Cummings

Richard Cummings was born Feb 12, 1929 in Lyndon Kansas to Paul and Lola Cummings. Richard attended Lyndon grade school and Nortonville High School. Richard says he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball in school. He said he moved around a lot, and lived with his uncle and aunt during high school in Nortonville, Kansas where he met his future wife Rosmary. Richard married Rosmary in 1950, and they have 3 children, Rick, Lori and Pat. He says his greatest day was when he married Rosmary. Richard enjoys watching westerns and period movies. Since moving to Bickford he says he enjoys bible study and Tuesday devotions. His favorite holiday is Christmas and says it's always a busy time of year with family.
