This is our delicious "King Cake" we made today for our happy hour. A "king cake" is a cross between coffee cake and a french pastry, and they are baked from the Epihany (January 6th) until Fat Tuesday, the last day before lent. They are decorated with colors that represent Mardi Gras. Green represents Faith, purple represents justice, and gold represents power. King cakes are normally baked with a "baby" inside which means if you get the piece with the baby, you host the next party. We learned alot about Mardi Gras that many of us never even knew.

We also enjoyed listening to facts and trivia about popcorn. We learned that the largest popcorn ball was 12 feet in diameter and weighed 5000 pounds, it was interested to know that it was made right here in Iowa in a small town named Sac City which is only 46 miles from Fort Dodge, now how interesting is that??
