We celebrate American Independence Day on the 4th of Juy every year.  We think of July 4, 1776 as a day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the USA as an independent nation.  However...this was NOT the day that the Continental Congress decided to declare independence - they did that on July 2, 1776.  The Continental Congress approved the final wording of the Declaration of Independent on July 4, 1776.  

So...how did the 4th of July become a national holiday?  For the first 15-20 years after the Declaration was written, it was not celebrated much on any date.  Celebrations of the 4th of July became more common as the years went on and in 1870, almost 100 years after the Declaration was written, Congress first declated July 4th to be a national holiday.

Britney Thompson started with Bickford in August of 2016.  She works part time as a CNA and has two young boys at home.

Justin Parker joined our team in April of 2016 as a part time CNA.  He moved into the CMA role while attending nursing school and became an LPN.  We are proud of Justin as he has now completed his RN and is studying for his boards.
