We had a great time over at the Meridian Senior Center. We hosted a summer lunch. On the menu was grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings. Nothing says summer like grilling! We also had some pasta salad, potato chips, and some wonderful watermelon. We had several of our residents that went over for lunch to talk with several of the senior center regulars. After lunch they had us stick around and enjoy a movie with them. It was a great time had by all and we looking forward to doing more with Meridian Senior Center in the future! Special thanks to our Kitchen Manager, Charles for manning the grill! Burgers and dogs where cooked perfectly. Chrissy Jones our Life Enrichment Coordinator. She helped get everything organized, so it went off without any problems. And of course our wonderful residents who nothing of this would have been possible if they were not up for some good old adventures! Stay tuned for new and exciting adventures here at Bickfor of Okemos!

Family members Bob and John rarely will start a game on their own, but when started, it is a long and drawn out battle to the finish. Both get very thoughtful and quiet contemplating his moves.

Did you know??? Bickford Senior Living is partnering with the Global Orphan project to build Assisted Livings in Haiti and India to care for their seniors in partnership with caring for the orphaned children. We just approved doing our first actual project in India for seniors. The Global Orphan has a farm next to an orphanage in India where our first community will be built. It will be developed through a local church partner in India and will be for 8-10 seniors. We are also working on getting a community started in Haiti. Joe Eby just returned last Monday from Haiti and is hopeful to have something up and running down there yet this year. We are just in the infant stages but who knows where it will take us!!
