We are honored to have been part of the event helping to raise funds and awareness for such a note worthily cause. Please help us to congratulate our Quad City Bickford Friend, Shirley, whose art was chosen to be auctioned off live at the event. From farm scenes, memories of fishing, abstract figures, to happy rainbow sunny days, the auction provided great fun for all.

Welcome to Bickford Senior Living of Moline, IL. We are excited to be able to connect with you through our new blog so we can share the many ways in which we enrich the lives of our residents on a daily basis. It's a priviledge to be in a position where we can bring such happiness to our residents and their families. What is happiness you may ask? Well...it's different for everyone. That's why here at Bickford, we make it our goal to discover each person's own life's journey. By doing so, we're then able to help them find those moments of happiness as they allow us to join them on the next stage of their journey. We are honored and humbled to be allowed to become a part of their family.
We will be posting pictures, along with updates of activities and events we'll be having here in the upcoming months. Please save our site on your "favorites" tab so you can check back with us often. Have a great day...and along the way...may you find happiness!
Warm regards...

Use it or lose it! That is a common phrase we like to joke about with residents in the halls of Bickford. We often tell our residents this to motivate them to continue their daily walks to meals, encourge their participation in our group exercise programs, and to remind them that bodies who are in motion tend to stay in motion. Bickford family members will often make "deals" with residents to ecourage increased mobilty, such as if they walk to the dining room, we will give them a lift back home afterwards, or attending a group exercise program first, then having coffee and cookies after!
Please click on the attached link to read about the 4 types of recommended exercises for seniors, which include strengthening, stretching, endurance, and balance, all of which are incorporated in many different types of programs offered at Bickford. Now, get moving, because you know what we say, Use it or lose it!

Greetings everyone from your friends at Bickford of Moline!
With Mother Nature appearing in lots of different forms this week, sipping hot cocoa and tea was exactly what the doctor ordered. The flickering fire along with activities galore helped us all to stay warm as we welcomed what appears to be the last snow fall of the season.
Here's a re-cap of a few highlights of the week:
• John and Kay Retzel had us humming, singing, and tapping our toes as they started off our week with musical entertainment.
• Tuesday was national "Eat the inside of an Oreo first" day. What a tasty treat!
• Shelly’s Craft Corner is hoping to find a pot of gold at the end of their homemade rainbows while Nancy and the ladies worked on Irish tags to help the leprechauns find their way.
• We had a fun visit with our friends from The ARC of the Quad Cities; Bickford Bingo is always a hit!
• Birthday bash for Barbie celebrated with a Barbie Doll cake!
As our clocks spring forward and warmer air is near, please review our weekly blog for exciting activities happening here.
Below is a glimpse of the fun had within our door. Please join us for a special event that is such not to bore.
A few highlights for the upcoming week, March 10th – March 16th
• Fancy Finger Manicures
• Worship with our friends from Market Place Ministries
• B-I-N-G-O
• National “Plant a Flower Day”
• Live musical entertainment
• Old fashion ice cream making
Please call (309) 736-0700 to be added to our weekly “Branch HappYnings” email or to join us for lunch and a tour.
We look forward to meeting with you and your loved one and welcoming you to the Bickford Family.
