We invite you to join us for our Tree Planting Ceremony with the planting of a tree in the heart of the courtyard. The Tree Planting Ceremony symbolizes a new life in the construction of the branch and the continuation of our Bickford family as well as an ongoing opportunity to enrich the happiness in the lives of residents.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 11am-1pm on the site.   Mayor David Uran and Sue Reed, President and CEO of the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce will be presenting.  Free lunch will be provided along with an opportunity to participate in a raffle drawing.  Please RSVP to Carrie at 815-409-9460 or carrie.tatroe@enrichinghappiness.com

Bickford Senior Living is pleased to announce that it has taken ownership of  land and begun building in Crown Point, IN.   Bickford Senior Living has begun the transition process of aligning this new community to it’s portfolio of 45 existing premier Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care branches in seven Midwestern states and Georgia.

Bickford Assisted Living and Memory Care of Crown Point is just miles 40 miles from the heart of the Chicago. This new branch will include a total of 58 apartments and provide similar services to Bickford’s existing portfolio.

“We’re extremely pleased to add this new community to the Bickford Family. Being able to establish a footprint in Indiana has been a goal of ours and we look forward to future growth within the state” said Carrie Tatroe, Opening Specialist for Bickford Senior Living.

“We saw this opportunity as something that not only will enhance our portfolio, but we’ll be able to expand upon what we do best as an organization. Bickford Senior Living understands the needs of families all across the Midwest and we’ve been able to develop unique branches with unique services that have enhanced the lives of thousands” Tatroe added.

We built our first branch in Olathe, Kansas nearly 20 years ago, for our grandmother, Mary Bickford. She suffered with Alzheimer’s and my parents could not find a place the family felt comfortable with – so our family built a place that was ours. As a result, we’re proud to have been one of the pioneers of assisted living and memory care communities in the state of Kansas.” Eby referenced that “We’re a different type of organization. We work hard to enrich the happiness in the lives of everyone we are privileged to serve. Bickford Senior Living Assumes Operations of three Dynamic Assisted Living and Memory Care Branches within the Atlanta Metropolitan Area - Bickford Senior Living is pleased to announce that it has assumed operations of Dogwood Forest Buckhead Assisted Living and Memory Care (Atlanta, Georgia), Dogwood Forest Marietta Assisted Living and Memory Care (Marietta, Georgia) and Dogwood Forest Alpharetta – North Point Assisted Living and Memory Care (Alpharetta, Georgia). Dogwood Forest Buckhead Assisted Living and Memory Care, Dogwood Forest Marietta Assisted Living and Memory Care and Dogwood Forest Alpharetta – North Point Assisted Living and Memory Care are just miles from the heart of the Atlanta. Combined, these three new branches include a total of 198 apartments and provide similar services to Bickford's existing portfolio.

Shopper's Showcase at Bickford! - Bickford Senior Living branches across the Midwest are hosting a vendor based shopping event called Shopper’s Showcase. This event is open to the public and admission is free. » Read Article

Bickford’s Shopper’s Showcase creates an environment where people can do all of their holiday shopping conveniently under one roof with affordable, unique, and high-end gifts available for purchase. Each shopper will receive a free Bickford Reusable Shopping Bag and can be entered in a drawing to receive a giveaway from the vendors.

Bickford of St. Charles Recruiting Partners for Community Connections Resource Center - Bickford of St Charles is developing a community resource center to provide informational, educational, and life enrichment activities to the greater community. The Bickford of St Charles Community Connections Resource Center will benefit both organizations to promote awareness of their services and information, and to local residents interested in positively influencing their health and wellness, all in one location. » Read Article

Bickford Community Connections Resource Center will partner with local organizations to promote awareness and to provide education to the community on health and wellness information and services. There will be complimentary presentation, event, and meeting space available, a kiosk/resource area, free coverage of organizations, information, resources, and events in an online monthly newsletter/calendar to promote awareness.
 
The Bickford Community Connection Resource Center is created for local residents to have healthcare information, resources, and life enrichment activities available to them on a regular basis. A Bickford Community Connections calendar/newsletter will be available with an assortment of events including, but not limited to: free blood pressure screenings, complimentary health and wellness seminars, educational, exercise and entertaining opportunities.

Bickford Hosts Veteran's BBQ - Bickford Senior Living branches throughout the Midwest will host their second annual Veteran’s Benefits Barbeque (V-B-QUE) to honor Veterans and celebrate Independence Day. This event is created to “give back” by educating Veterans on the financial healthcare benefits specifically available to them through a fun and enjoyable day with gifts, dinner, and entertainment. » Read Article

This unique event will include a backyard BBQ with all-American favorites served. United States Service Officers, from local VFW chapters, will discuss benefits that American Veterans have earned by their service in the United States Armed Services. Entertainment and gifts vary by branch.
